  • Days 1 and 2: Barcelona

    Arrival at Barcelona Josep Tarradellas airport. From there, you can take the transport that is most convenient (taxi, train, metro or bus) to the city centre. Spend the next two days exploring this cosmopolitan city. You can spend one day visiting the city centre and its monuments and another enjoying the Tibidabo amusement park or the city zoo. Don’t miss the Gothic Quarter, Gaudí's famous architecture (some of his most famous works are the Sagrada Familia, Park Güell, Casa Batlló and Casa Milá), the promenade of La Rambla and the neighbourhood of El Born. You can also visit the Camp Nou stadium, where FC Barcelona, one of the best football teams in the world, plays.  The second day can be spent at the Tibidabo amusement park. It is located on the Tibidabo mountain, the highest peak of the Collserola mountain range and the natural lung of the city of Barcelona. Its special location will offer you exceptional views of the city throughout your visit. Tibidabo is the oldest amusement park in Spain, the second oldest in Europe and one of the first to be built in the world. It is full of cafeterias, panoramic restaurants, playgrounds and lively shows among the attractions. You can also visit the Zoo, the Aquarium, the Montjuic cable car, Park Güell and Barcelona's Poble Espanyol with your kids. The first two allow you to see all kinds of animals up close. The cable car offers a spectacular aerial view of Barcelona. Kids love Park Güell for its fantasy-tinged architecture, full of colour and even dragons.   • Day 3: Day trip to PortAventura World

    Take the train directly from Barcelona to PortAventura World (an hour and 10 minutes). Situated on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, this is Europe's largest family amusement park. It represents different parts of the world: China, Polynesia, Mexico, the Mediterranean and the Far West. There are high-speed rides, water rides, children's rides and themed shows depending on where you are in the park. PortAventura World also includes Ferrari Land, an exciting theme park based on speed, featuring everything you might imagine you can do with the cars of the famous maker. It is also home to the Caribe Aquatic Park, which has waterfalls, huge pools, green areas full of tropical plants and palm trees. In order to be able to spend the whole day there worry-free, the park offers a wide range of restaurants. You can sample food from different parts of the world, in keeping with the different themes of the park.   • Day 4: Day trip to Girona or Costa Brava

    Girona An hour and fifteen minutes by car from Barcelona. You can also get there by AVE high-speed train in about 40 minutes or by medium distance train, which takes an hour and 20 minutes. You can visit the Arab Baths of this beautiful city, the houses on the river Onyar that can be seen from the Eiffel Bridge (designed by Gustave Eiffel, the creator of the Tower of Paris), and the Cathedral. You can also climb the Wall and see the city from the heights. If you would like to go out for a drink, you can do so on the Rambla, a boulevard lined with restaurants, bars and small boutiques. If you are travelling with kids and want to see primates, you can visit the Fundació Mona, in Riudellots de la Selva. It is a rehabilitation centre for chimpanzees and macaques. It is a 20-minute drive from Girona. Costa Brava The best way to visit is by car. You can walk along part of the coast from Blanes to Cadaqués and discover small fishing villages such as Tossa de Mar, Calella de Palafrugell, Tamariu or Palafrugell.   • Day 5: Barcelona
