    Grilled cheese with mojo sauce

    Some of Tenerife's typical dishes are papas arrugadas with the typical Canarian mojo sauce, ropa vieja which is a slow cooked meat dish, puchero, a typical Canarian stew,, grilled cheese, bienmesabe and gofio (a type of flour flour made from flour). All of them represent the rich culinary tradition of the island, noted for their intense flavours and the use of fresh local ingredients.
