If you want a really fun experience with your family during your trip, take the children to any of Spain’s amusement parks. There are theme parks for every taste, with amazing settings, shows, and rides where you can all share the thrills. You’ll find it easy to spend the whole day there, because they all have themed restaurants and services provided with families in mind. You’ll find them all over Spain. Here are a few of the most famous.

In Madrid
On one hand, there’s Parque Warner, about 30 kilometres from the centre of Madrid: a huge space devoted to the world of superheroes and Warner Bros films. You’ll love the Batman and Looney Tunes shows! On the other, one of the city’s classic attractions is its amusement park, Parque de Atracciones de Madrid, very close to the historic city centre, so it’s easy to reach and enjoy its roller-coasters and gentle family rides.

In Barcelona
On the tall hill of Tibidabo, the Tibidabo Amusement Park has been serving fun for a hundred years, as well as a wonderful view of Barcelona. Going on a classic or a new ride here is an amazing experience. You’ll have the best view of the city as a glamorous backdrop. And if you want a trip to thrill the whole family, go to the famous PortAventura World in Salou, among the beaches of the Costa Dorada, just over 100 kilometres from Barcelona. It includes three theme parks: PortAventura Park, PortAventura Caribe Aquatic Park, and Parque Ferrari Land, Europe’s first theme park devoted to Ferrari.

In Andalusia
This area, in southern Spain, is much larger, so you’ll find many places where you can have fun together. We particularly recommend two parks. First, Isla Mágica, very close to the historic city centre of Seville, which will surprise you with its rides and shows set in the 16th century, “the Age of Discovery”. Can you imagine riding the rapids of the Orinoco, or seeing a pirate mutiny as it happens?

In Valencia
Would you like to visit a theme park which recreates the history of five great Mediterranean civilisations: Egypt, Greece, Rome, Iberia and The Islands? All you have to do is go to Terra Mítica, in Benidorm, less than 150 kilometres from Valencia. Also, from taller rides like the Tornado, there is an impressive panoramic view of the sea and the town of Benidorm.

In the Canary Islands
This list could not leave out Siam Park in Tenerife, one of Europe’s largest water parks. Here you can surf giant waves, walk through a shark tank, lie on a natural sand beach, rent a private cabin, relax on a Bali bed, and discover the floating market.
